Add Amazon Pay as a payment method in the ryd app and pay for your fuel even faster, more securely, and contactlessly directly at the pump. Simply use the payment details stored in your Amazon account without having to enter sensitive banking information in the ryd app. Follow the step-by-step instructions below to learn how to set it up.
What is Amazon Pay?
Amazon Pay is a payment service similar to PayPal that allows you to pay for fuel quickly, easily, and securely in the ryd app. Simply sign in with your existing Amazon account and use the payment methods stored in your Amazon account.
Since ryd does not offer direct payments from your bank account, you can use Amazon Pay for this purpose. Simply add your bank account to Amazon Pay and conveniently use it in the ryd app to pay for fuel, EV charging, and car washes.
How to add Amazon Pay in the ryd app:
- Open the ryd app and tap the third icon (person) in the bottom navigation bar to access your Profile.
- Select Payment methods to open the overview of your available payment methods.
In the lower section of the available payment methods, select Amazon Pay.
Example of available payment methods Amazon Pay will then automatically be added to your ryd account.

At this point, Amazon Pay has only been added as a payment method. The first time you pay with Amazon Pay, you will need to sign in with your Amazon credentials to complete the connection. This will happen during your first purchase with Amazon Pay in the ryd app.
