For security reasons, the connection to PayPal is disconnected as soon as you log out of the ryd app. The PIN required for payments is stored locally on your phone and is deleted when you log out. This is why you need to set it up again. Tip: Credit card details remain saved even after logging out.
Your security comes first
Having to re-enter your PayPal details after logging out is not an error, but an important security mechanism designed to protect your account.
How does this work?
To securely identify you as the owner of the PayPal account during purchases, you set up a PIN. This PIN is stored locally on your smartphone.
As soon as you actively log out of the ryd app, this PIN is immediately deleted from your device for security reasons. Since the identification is no longer available, you must set up the PayPal connection again the next time you log in.

Would you like your payment details to remain saved even if you log out from time to time?
Use a credit card: If you add a credit card (Mastercard or Visa) in the app, no local PIN needs to be stored. Your payment details will therefore remain securely saved in your account even after logging out, and you won’t need to enter them again.
