How to pay directly in your Audi with ryd
With the ryd app in the Audi Application Store, you can pay for fueling, charging, and car washing directly from your vehicle – fast, digital, and paperless. Choose your preferred payment method, start the payment process via your Audi’s infotainment system, and follow the steps displayed at the gas station, charging station, or car wash. This article explains step-by-step how to use In-Car Payment with ryd.

Step 1: Select gas station
- Open the ryd app in your infotainment system.
- Select a gas station, car wash, or charging station near you.
- The payment process starts automatically as soon as you arrive at the location.
Step 2: Select pump
- Select the correct pump number from the list.
- Confirm your selection.
Step 3: Set maximum amount
- Choose your desired maximum amount (e.g., €25, €50, €75, €100, etc.).
- Optional: Save this as your default amount for future refueling.
- Confirm your selection.
Step 4: Confirm authorization
- Check the pump number, amount, fuel type, and payment method.
- Tap "Confirm authorization".
- Wait until the pump is released.
Step 5: Refueling
The display will now show the following steps:
- Pick up the nozzle – note that the pump release will be locked again after 2 minutes if the nozzle has not been removed.
- Fuel the vehicle.
- Return the nozzle.
Step 6: Payment and invoice
After fueling:
- The payment is processed automatically via your selected payment method.
- The receipt will be sent to you via email.
- You can also find it in the ryd app history.
✅ Tips & Notes
- A stable internet connection in the Audi is required.
- Follow the same steps for car washing and charging.
- The maximum amount is only a reservation – you will only be charged for the actual amount of fuel used.
