Adding a New Payment Method

 

Here’s how to add a new credit card for ryd pay:

1. Open your profile: Go to Profile in the ryd app and then to Payment methods.

2. Select card payment: Tap Add payment method and select Card payment.

   

    

3. Enter your details: Enter your personal information in the relevant fields:

   

    

4. Enter the card number, expiry date, cardholder name, and security code (CVC).

   

    

5. Verify the payment method:
   1. For verification, EUR 1.00 will be temporarily reserved on your account. This amount will be automatically released again after a few days.
   2. In most cases, you will need to approve/confirm this with your payment provider, for example in your banking app.

6. Wait for confirmation: Once the verification is successful, you will receive a confirmation in the ryd app.

🔁 Changing or Updating a Saved Credit Card

 

If you want to update a credit card that is already saved, for example because of a typo or a new expiry date, or replace it with another card, please proceed as follows:

1. Add the card again: Simply enter the corrected or new credit card again by following the steps in the “Add a new payment method” section.

2. Set it as preferred: Mark the newly added card as “Default”. It will then appear at the top of your list of payment methods.

   

    

3. Delete the old card: The old, incorrect, or expired card will automatically move further down the list and can then be deleted.
